What is it

Identity Platform is a managed Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) product.

When to use it

Use Identity Platform for end-user identity management and authentication. The Firebase Admin Go and the Firebase JS SDKs provide authentication APIs for login and identity verification.

Preferring existing SDKs and platform products for user authentication is an intentional choice, to ensure that we use proven solutions for security-critical functionalities.
